on June 16th, 2012 in Charleston, WV.
This year the entry fee has been lowered to $12 per entry.
Your entry fees includes: participation in the races, entry into the costume contest, the fetch competition, and a gift bag of goodies for you and your wiener.
The 2012 Collectible Race T-Shirt will be available for $12 on the day of the races.
2012 Race Categories
Puppy Division - Up to 1 Year Old
Adult I Division - One year to 5 Years
Adult II Division - Five Years to 10 Years
Senior Division - 10 years and older
"I Wanna Be A Wiener Division" (Mixed Breed)
Sponsored by the West Side Main Street Program and FestivAll Charleston, the 2012 race will again be held at the Stonewall Jackson Middle on the front lawn located on Washington St. W. at the corner of Park Avenue in the middle of Charleston's Convenient West Side Shopping District.

June 16th is the first day of the 10-day music and art festival in Charleston known as FestivAll. This is a great week to visit Charleston and stay for several days of music and art events.
As always, preceeding the races will be the FETCH COMPETITION and THE COSTUME CONTEST with prizes in 4 categories. An obstacle course is available for fun times for your dog as well as cooling splash pools, a water slide, A Pet Blessing, Vet Corner, Ribs, Hot Dogs, Burgers, Frozen Lemondade, low cost spay and neuter coupons, dog rescue and fostering information and much much more.
Race pre-registrations will be accepted until June 11, 2012 at $10.00 per entry. (Check must be received by the cut off date).

Proceeds of the Wiener Dog Race for 2012 will be used toward the development of a planned Dog Park on Charleston's West Side.
